MONOFILAMENT YARNS for sports applications
Bonar Yarns' pure monofilament yarns are extruded from a spinneret extrusion system producing a true monofilament. All our monofilament yarn are made of polyethylene, which guarantees toughness and abrasion resistance which are very important in contact sports. Additionally polyethylene is known for its easy tuftability. The individual filaments are wound and twisted together to produce the final yarn, comprising several filaments in a variety of colour combinations. As the filaments are extruded through individual die heads, Bonar Yarns can produce yarns in a range of cross sections.

Molten film is slit, precisely drawn and then fibrillated to give the characteristic honeycomb effect inherent to the yarn.
